Fabric Donations Needed - Please Help
Blankets for Soldiers in Afghanistan

Lynn Turcotte is making quilts for the Canadian soldiers who are over in Afghanistan. She makes them on a daily basis and was asked by her granddaughter's boyfriend (his father is pictured) to make a few to send over there.
At this moment in time she has sent over 85 quilts and currently has another 22 waiting to go. Her original goal was 100 but from the response she had received she intends to keep going "until everyone over there gets one" Which would be over 2000.
She also sends quilts to Orphans in other countries which includes Africa, Russia and Cuba.

She has run out or is running out of the following

  • Black TOT fabric which she uses for background and doesn't have a lot of Canadian looking fabric.
  • Black thin batting, and 505 spray
  • Flannel quilt batting

If you wish to help please contact Lynn Turcotte by email at turc2000@bconnex.net
