Membership Qualification
*Please note that we are no longer accepting membership from Residential Retailers or Professional Crafters.
Membership Categories
Retailer
A person/business operating a retail store from a non-residential location and who holds a valid business license and certificate of registration as may be required by local jurisdictions.
 
Wholesaler / Distributor
A person/business who operates a warehouse and purchases material from manufacturers and/or distributes for resale to persons and/or businesses who hold a valid business license and certificate of registration as may be required by local jurisdictions.
 
Manufacturer / Publisher
Any person/business who is engaged in the manufacture/publication, importation and/or exportation of product that is for resale in the Canadian marketplace.

Future Business
Any person opening a retail location in the craft and hobby industry. Qualifications will be reviewed yearly.
 
Representative
A person/business representing lines for sale in Canada.
 
Affiliate Association
Any group or association with the same goals as the CCHA.
 
Professional Affiliate
A specialist within the Craft and Hobby Industry with relation to their education or livelihood.
 
Institution
An educational, medical or social corrections establishment that purchases and uses craft and hobby materials, as part of its therapeutic or learning program.
 
*Educator/Teacher (New)

A teacher/educator is an individual who teaches in a store, studio, private/public school or other educational institution, conducts classes which use products from the craft and hobby industry and is directly involved with instructing students in using craft materials and products as part of their education.

 
*Home Based Manufacturer (New)

A Home Based Manufacturer is an individual who conceives plans, invents, creates or executes a decorative or artistic work for sale to retail members of the craft and hobby industry.

Business Identification
Memberships are valid for 1 year from the purchase date. All applications for membership must be accompanied by two of the following forms of business identification.
  • Yellow Pages telephone listing
  • Business telephone bill
  • Bona fide business rent receipt
  • Current business tax assessment
  • Employer remittance to Revenue Canada
  • GST/PST Registration
  • Incorporation or trade name registration
  • Town or city business license
  • Invoice for over $250 from an exhibitor on the show floor
Business cards and cheques are NOT acceptable ID
 

Educators/Teachers Category
Please supply 2 from the following.

  • Referral letter (on official company header paper)
  • Employer payment receipt
  • Any documentation, literature, listing as proof of occupation

How To Apply For Membership
  1. Select the appropriate category
  2. Fill out a Membership Application Form
  3. Send or fax it to us along with your payment and the two proofs of business ID.
